5.6 % the average increase of Industrial Producer’s prices during April 2018
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the General Industrial price index for April 2018 to reach 118.50 against 112.19 for the same month of 2017 recorded a growth by 5.6% compared with the same month of 2017. This mainly was a result of an increase in the manufacturing Industries prices by 4.66 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0%, the quarrying industries prices by 1.13 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2. Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the quantities of electricity production prices by 0.16 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8%.
On the monthly level, the report indicates a decrease in the industrial price index of the industrial production for April 2018 to reach 118.50 against 119.00 in March 2018 leading a decrease by 0.4%. This has resulted mainly from a decrease in the manufacturing Industries prices by 0.25 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0% and quarrying industries prices by 0.15 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2% and the electricity prices by 0.03 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8% .
