Industrial Production Index increase by 9.68% during May 2021
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the General Industrial Production Index for May 2021 to reach 90.61 against 82.61 for the same month of 2020 recording an increase by 9.68%. This mainly was a result of an increase in the production index of manufacturing industries by 8.38 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.01%, quantities of quarrying industries production by 0.81 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.22% and the quantities of electricity production by 0.49 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.76% .
