Industrial Production Quantities decrease by 4.4% during June 2017
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates a decrease in the General Industrial Index Number of the Industrial Production Quantities by 4.4% during June 2017 as compared with the same period of 2016.This decrease resulted from a retreat in the quantities of the Manufacturing Industries by 6.7% with a relative importance of 86.0% and quantities of electricity production by 3.3% with a relative importance of 5.8%, whereas , there was an increase in the quantities of quarrying production by 22.0% with a relative importance of 8.2%.
The report indicates also a decrease in the industrial index number of the industrial production for June 2017 by 2.5% as compared with the previous month (May).This decrease was a result of a drop in the production quantities of the manufacturing Industries by 3.6% with a relative importance of 86.0% and also the increase in the production quantities of the quarrying industries by 6.8% with a relative importance of 8.2% and electricity production by 0.7% with a relative importance of 5.8%.
