The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the Consumer Price Index for August 2022 to reach 108.18 against 102.68 for the same month of 2021 recorded an increase by 5.36%. This mainly was a result of an increase in the price of Fuels and Lighting by 31.59 %, Transportation by 6.89 %, Rents by 4.48%, Culture & Recreation by 14.2 % and Health by 6.97 %.
