2.47% is the Increase of the Consumer Price Index for March 2022

The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the Consumer Price Index for March 2022 to reach 104.73 against 102.21 for the same month of 2021 recorded an increase by 2.47 %. This mainly was a result of the increase of Vegetables and Legumes Dry and canned by 0.64 percentage points, Transportation by 0.73 percentage points, Restaurants and Hotels by 0.20 percentage points, Oils and Fats by 0.16 percentage points and Fuels and Lighting by 0.13 percentage points. Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the price of Fruits and Nuts by 0.18 percentage points, Beverages and Refreshments by 0.04 percentage points, Rents by 0.02 percentage points and Spices, food additives and other food by 0.004 percentage points.
