2.9% the average an increase of Industrial producers’ prices for Aug 2017

The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the General Industrial Price Index for Aug 2017 to 111.6 against 108.4 for the same month of 2016 by 2.9% compared with the same month of 2016 while it was (8.9) for the same month of 2016. 3.5% the Average Increase of the Inflation Rate for September 2017

The monthly report on inflation in Jordan issued by the Department of Statistics indicates that the Consumer Price Average (Inflation) reached 120.0 in September 2017 against 115.94 for September 2016 recorded an increase by 3.5%..The main commodities groups, which contributed to this increase, were “Transport” 15.4% representing 2.0 percentage point “Rents” 2.9% representing 0.5 percentage points,  “Tobacco and cigarettes” 6.8% representing 0.3%, “culture and entertainment” 7.2% representing 0.2%, “Personal Care” 5.6% representing 0.2 percentage points. The Jordanian Statistical Training Center (JSTC) holds a training course titled “Withdrawal of Samples”

Important clarification by the Department of Statistics (DoS) on the implementation of the Seventh Population and Family Health Survey (PFHS)

The (DoS) began implementing the seventh (PFHS) on 1st October 2017 and would like to clarify the following points: The survey sample covers twenty thousand (20,000) households out of two (2) million households in Jordan, therefore will not cover all citizens. Blood tests will be carried out by trained and qualified interviewers using modern instruments and slices to be used once. The Data issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the Average Agricultural Producers’ Price Index for Aug 2017 by 1.0% compared with Aug 2016. The Department of Statistics issued the results of the quarterly estimates of the GDP at fixed prices for the second quarter of 2017.
