18.0% Unemployment Rate during the second Quarter of 2017
The Department of Statistics issued its quarterly report on the Unemployment Rate during the Second quarter of 2017 : The following are the main results of this survey:
Unemployment:
- The results show that the Unemployment Rate has reached 18.0% during the second quarter of 2017; the Unemployment Rate for males has reached 13.4% while it was 33.9 % for females for the same quarter.
- The Unemployment Rate has decreased in this round by 0.2 percent points compared with the first quarter of 2017 .
- Taking gender into consideration, it becomes clear that the Unemployment Rate has decreased for males by 0.5 percentage points and increased for females by 0.9 percentage points during the second quarter of 2017 compared with the first quarter of 2017.
